October 2023 Newsletter
Manila, 2nd of October 2023
Dear Members,We have now entered the month of October! The months have passed and we are now entering our Oktoberfest spirit.
Last month in the Club, Magkaisa Mabini Art Collection’s exhibit entitled “Wanderlust” has just finished its exhibition period, we hope you loved the paintings as much as we did. September 12 was a fun and successful night to celebrate the Oktoberfest Kick-Off! On September 14, we also had our Introduction Night which was surely a fun time for the members to get to know a little more about each other. To cap the month off, we had a Joint Maritime Committee Meeting and our Semi-Annual General Membership Meeting (SAGM) last September 28 where the Board of Directors presented the current status of the Club and members also got to share their sentiments.
.To start the month, tomorrow, October 3, will be German Unity Day! This year, we are celebrating the 33rd year of German Unity.
We’re happy to announce that we would be once again featuring artists and paintings from Magkaisa Mabini Art Collection’s new exhibit: “Affordable Art”. To view the paintings to be exhibited and for sale, kindly click the flyer below.
For this month’s cocktail, we have an amazing drink which is the Painkiller. A mix of Dark Rum and fruity juices for the affordable price of PHP 250! Make sure to try our newest drink when you visit.
As Oktoberfest is right around the corner, don’t forget to buy your raffle tickets now at the Club restaurant to get a chance to win our amazing prizes during the event! Feel free to approach any of the dining staff to buy and avail of our Buy 4 Take 1 for only PHP 1000!
We’d also love to welcome back our Special Menu for October to fully embrace the Oktoberfest spirit! Order these now when you visit the Club!
To continue the festivities, on Saturday, October 14, there will be the Oktoberfest Football Tournament happening at Club United with the awarding to follow at night during the Oktoberfest event!
A gentle reminder for everyone that the Club will be closed during Oktoberfest proper on Friday, October 13 and Saturday, October 14 as the entire team would be helping out and working at the event! Regular Club operations will resume on Monday, October 16.
Meet the Team!
To kickstart our monthly employee feature, we’d like to start it off with Nestor Valiente, our longest staying employee who has been with the Club for over 28 years. Working as the butcher, Nestor aims to produce quality food with his team that the members would love and make them come back for more. Until the end of his stay here, he wants the members to know that he will continue doing what he loves in the kitchen and will ensure that the members are happy.
Lastly, to give a heads up of what’s to come next month, on Saturday, November 4, we will be having Internations once again here in the Club. Also, for those who have been asking, on Thursday, November 9, there will be a Red Wine Tasting Event with Brumms Quality Wine named ‘Simply Red’. More details for both events to follow.
Thank you all for your unwavering support and for actively participating in our Club events as well as recruiting new members to join us.
