German Club Manila: March 2023 Newsletter

Dear Members,

Just like that we are already approaching the third month of the year, time really does fly by.

Last month, we had numerous successful events here in the Club that started with Comedy Cartel’s Comedy Night on February 3, followed by our special Valentine’s menu offered last February 14 where members were able to dine and spend quality time with their loved ones. On February 21, the German Embassy invited service providers from companies that bring nurses to Germany for a Visa Consultation which may now be a new frequent event given its high demand. To close the month off, we had the German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Joint Maritime Committee Meeting on February 23.

This month, we have more events coming your way starting with our annual culinary night, Bremen Night: Grünkohl & Pinkel on March 10, 2023 (6:30 PM). Interested in joining the event? Reserve your slot by emailing us at reservations@germanclub.ph

On March 15 (6:00PM), there will be a special showing of a documentary entitled “The Philippines: Hidden Champion in Southeast Asia” made by Prof. Dr. Uwe C. Swoboda and his students from Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg Stuttgart. Make sure to catch some of our members who were featured in the documentary!

This month, we are also having the German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s second Economic Forum for the year on Thursday, March 16. If you have yet to check it out, Magkaisa Mabini Art Collection’s Art Exhibit entitled “Black and White: Expression of Art with limited colors” will only be available for viewing and purchase until the end of the month so check it out while you’re at the Club!

Last, we will have our Annual General Membership Meeting (AGM) on Thursday, March 30, 2023 (6:30 PM) here at the Club. All regular members are invited to join this event.
