German Club Manila: January 2023 Newsletter

Manila, 5th of January 2023

Dear Members,

We hope you all had a very happy new year celebration and will have a prosperous year ahead.

To recall, last month we celebrated the Nikolaus Children’s Christmas Party on December 3. This was followed by the Members’ Christmas Dinner last December 17. In between all the celebrations, we also had numerous groups celebrate their Christmas events with us here at the Club. To end the month, we had Die Feuerzangenbowle on the 23rd of December.

The festive season might be coming to a close but that doesn’t mean that the events and celebrations stop there as we have a number of exciting events lined up for the month.

In case you missed it, Magkaisa Mabini Art Collection’s Art Exhibit Entitled “Black and White: Expression of Art with limited colors” is available for viewing and purchase at the Club from January 3 to March 31, 2023.

This Saturday, January 7, we will be having Internation, a worldwide social networking event which will happen from 6:00 PM onwards.

Next, on January 19, 6:00 – 8:00 PM, there will be an economic forum titled “The Philippine Outlook 2023: The Road to Re-emergence, Recovery, and Rebuilding”. We are once again welcoming GPCCI and the German Embassy here at the Club to host the forum.

On Friday, January 27th, we are pleased to invite all members in good standing for the 117th German Club Anniversary Dinner. The evening will be featured by live band entertainment. Further information about the evening will follow soon.

Lastly, to also give a look into what’s in store for the year, we will be having a Stand-Up Comedy show to be hosted by Comedy Cartel on February 8, 8:30 – 10:30 PM here at the Club.
