| Dear Members, We hope you had a peaceful and fruitful month of July, just like we did at the Club. For those who have recently returned to Manila or are about to leave, we wish you safe flights and a memorable time! . Last month, we had some positive changes in the Club with the completion of the male restroom renovations and the updating of our menu folders. Additionally, we successfully hosted the Economic Forum on July 20 and the Joint Maritime Committee Meeting on July 27. |
| Before we delve into the exciting events lined up for August, we are thrilled to invite you to this year’s Oktoberfest, which will take place on October 13-14, 2023, at Solaire Entertainment City. Mark your calendars and get your tickets now! Tickets for Friday, October 13, are almost sold out, but you can still secure your spot for Saturday, October 14. | As we transition to the events in August, we currently have the Magkaisa Mabini Art Collection’s exhibit, entitled “Wanderlust,” featuring European and Filipino Art through Inspiration by Nature, still ongoing in the Club until the end of the month. For our members interested in German culture, we have an array of German artworks featuring snow or mountains that will surely inspire you to explore and immerse yourself in the rich heritage of Germany. |

On Saturday, August 5, we are excited to host the SKAT Tournament: Hand Gottes at the Club. We anticipate a good and fair match from all the players attending! Calling all football fans! Join us for screenings of the Germany team at the FIFA Women’s World Cup at the Veranda. Let’s cheer on our team together! In addition to the football screenings, we also invite you to our regular Saturday night football screening sessions, starting with the 1st Bundesliga on August 19 at 9:30 PM. Moreover, join us for ‘An Evening with German White Wines’ at the German Club’s Wine Tasting Event presented by Brumms Quality Wines Inc on August 17, 2023. The wine-tasting event will feature a diverse range of German white wines, including the refreshing and crisp Rieslings and the aromatic Grauburgunder. Whether you are a seasoned wine connoisseur or a curious beginner, this evening promises to be both educational and delightful. | Please take note that the Club will be closed on Monday, August 21, for Ninoy Aquino Day, a special non-working holiday, as well as on Monday, August 28, for National Heroes Day, a regular holiday. |

| We are excited to announce that we will be hosting Internations in the Club again on Saturday, August 26, 2023. This worldwide social networking event will be held from 6:30 PM onwards. |
| Finally, on Thursday, August 31, 2023, the Joint Maritime Committee (JMC) of the Dutch Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines (DCCP), the German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GPCCI), the Nordic Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines (NordCham), and the Philippines Norway Business Council (PNBC) will have a meeting in the Club. Registration details will be provided soon. |
